Bernard Trent of Dundalk, County Louth passed away on Thursday. Survived by his wife Alice, his daughters Kerri and Rachel, and his son Desmond. A retired journalist who spent his career making it his mission to know as little as possible about an extremely broad and complex variety of topics in order to stay objective. His views on immigration and welfare recipients were on a par with any drunk in your local pub and this was reflected in his work and the lack of interest in his death by anyone other than the obligatory group of family and friends delivering mind-numbing cliché ridden statements testifying to the fact that only enemies speak the truth; friends and family lie endlessly, caught in an imagined web of duty. May he rest in peace.

Mass Saturday at 07.00 pm.

Burial afterwards at St Patrick’s Cemetery.
